Little Cambridge Nursery is adjacent to ‘The Cambridge School’. It has been carefully furnished and equipped to a high standard with well-proportioned rooms with plenty of ventilation and sunlight. It is designed to allow your child maximum space and scope for their physical, social and emotional, development.
We do this through themes and topics which are designed to engage with each child at their level. We include all areas of development; areas of personal, social, and emotional, communication and language and physical development and the specific areas of mathematics, expressive arts and design, understanding the world and literacy.
Creative and sensory play in stimulating children – environments help in contributing to your child’s early learning experiences. Children grow and develop rapidly during their first year, and with increased mobility, physical play is motivated, which then leads to the ‘messy’ play area which comes into its own. It is here that the child gets involved in art, craft and experimenting with, as well as, exploring sand, water, play dough and other materials which is supportive of children’s learning. Sit – and – ride toys and trolleys and prams to push around help your child develop their physical skills. Puzzles, shape sorters, tactile elements and books help in development of fine motor skills.
